2018 VdGM/Foundation for the Development of Family Medicine in Croatia, Conference Exchange, Zagreb (Croatia)
Foundation for the Development of Family Medicine in Croatia in
collaboration with the Vasco da Gama Movement are pleased to invite 15
trainees or young family doctors to participate at the Conference
„Foundation days“, at Zagreb, from 13th to 15th December 2018.
On Thursday, December 13th 2018, all the participants will meet in
the afternoon with their Croatian counterpart at the „A. Stampar“ School
of Public Health, School of Medicine, Zagreb University, to discuss the
Croatia health care system, medical education and speciality training
scheme in Family Medicine. On Friday morning, December 14th, the
participants will have possibility to spend time with family doctors and
their patients in GP practices of Zagreb and surrounding areas. On
Friday afternoon, December 14th, the participants will participate at
the „Foundation Days“ Conference, at which the Foundation activities and
new research results will be presented by the Croatian family doctors.
On Saturday morning, December 15th 2018 the participants are expected to
present their reports regarding different aspects of family medicine
and education in their countries. The international perspective of
family medicine, research and collaboration will be also discussed. A
social program will be organised.
The accommodation is organised at the „A. Stampar“ School of Public
Health, School of Medicine, Zagreb University, Rockefellerova 4, and it
is covered by the organiser as well as some meals and free ticket to
participate at the Conference. Please note, that travel expenses have to
be paid by the participants.
Placement confirmation will be given till 20.11.2018.

Announcement for Dutch Conference Exchange in January 2019 @ Amsterdam & Utrecht!
Dear National Exchange Coordinators,
We would like to invite our colleagues from the Vasco da Gama
Movement to participate in the Dutch Conference Exchange in Amsterdam
& Utrecht from 22nd-26th of January 2019!
Conference Exchange information:
Arrival: 22nd of January at Schiphol Airport, transfer to host
Primary care exchange: 23rd of January observation in a Dutch practice together with Dutch GP trainee
Conference: LOVAH Conference at 25th of January in Utrecht. We have translation systems available.
Cultural & Social program: 24th in Amsterdam. We will
visit a Heroine Project and there is a talk about euthanasia. You will
have some free time to explore Amsterdam. Dinner in Utrecht.
Accommodation: 22nd and 23rd at GP host, 24th en 25th at a hotel in Utrecht.
What is included: The conference entrance, all
accommodation and party with dinner are included. You have to arrange
and pay the transport yourself.
There are 24 places available for this Conference Exchange.
Please note that participants will need to get permission from their
current working place before applying. Transportation on the date of
arrival and departure are not included and will have to be arranged by
the participants themselves. Candidates have to write a motivation
letter and curriculum vitae in English.

Giotto e il Coordinamento WONCA Italia con il supporto del comitato
editoriale di Accademia Italiana Cure Primarie presentano la prima
scuola di ricerca dinamica, itinerante e basata sui bisogni dei
formandi.
La
Scuola parte da Monza con un Open Day gratuito il 19 ottobre, in
quest’incontro verranno descritte finalità e organizzazione e verrà
introdotto il tema della complessità attraverso la narrazione dei
partecipanti.
Vi invitiamo pertanto a partecipare alla giornata iniziale e inviarci i casi complessi incontrati nella pratica quotidiana.

We would like to invite you to take part in the 2018 Preconference Exchange on tuesday the 11th and wednesday the 12th of September.
The german association for general medicine is organizing the DEGAM Congress in Innsbruck Austria on the 13th – 15th September 2018. In preview to the congress we will give ten young physicians or students the chance to take part in an Exchange to get to know the austrian healthcare system first handed. The Exchange program will start in Innsbruck with a welcome Workshop on Tuesday the 11th at 18:00 0’clock to present Knowledge about the austrian healthcare as well as to introduce everyone as well the Host. On the 12th the participants will take part in the exchange und accommodate the austrian physicians in their daily work. We will meet again at the kongress center on the 12th at 18:00 o’clock to exchange all summoned experience. Afterwards the host as well as the guests are invited to join as for food and drinks at the local food restaurant.
Please note, that accommodation and travel expenses have to be paid by the participants.
Furthermore please note, that the DEGAM Conference’s language is in German, only keynote lectures are in English, so that moderate to advanced German language skills would be helpful to attend the conference. For the Exchange we will list german speaking skills first, based on the patients speaking language.

We would like to invite you to participate in a Conference Exchange in Palma from 10th to 15th.
Conference-exchange information:
Arrival: Palma de mallorca, september 9th
Primary care exchange: 8am to 3pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in a health centre shadowing a Spanish GP
Conference: Friday 14th and Saturday 15th (until noon). English
Presentation in the health centre about their health system (about 40
minutes) and a Round Table discussion during the conference on
Saturday.
Social program: Planned by our Exchange Team and delivered by mail
Accommodation: Organised by the participant
What is included: Conference fees
There are 8 places available for this exchange.
Selection will be:
The candidate must play an active role in the exchange program and is active to spread the experiences in their working country.
The candidate has a well understanding and speaking of the English or hosting country language.
We prefer candidates who have not yet joined an exchange before.

prossimo conference exchange a Glasgow in occasione del congresso
annuale del Royal College of General Practitioners dal 30 settembre al 7
ottobre. Di seguito il programma:
RCGP CONFERENCE EXCHANGE (Vasco da Gama Movement)
We
are looking for 10 GP trainees or GPs who have finished their training
within the last five years to take part in this year’s RCGP Conference
Exchange. Successful applicants will live and work in countries that
participate in the Vasco da Gama Movement. The Conference Exchange will
run from 30 September to 7 October 2018. The successful applicants will
experience UK general practice in Scottish host practices before
attending the RCGP Annual Conference in Glasgow. You will have to pay
for your own flights, accommodation and meals/entertainment. The
organising team is currently fundraising to support the conference
registration fees for the selected participants of this exchange. Please
note that we will not be able to confirm this until mid-summer 2018.
Planned Schedule:
Arrival on Sunday 30 September and departure on Sunday 7 October 2018. Sunday: Arrival & welcome meeting in the evening Monday, Tuesday: Time at host GP practice Wednesday: Sightseeing – details to be confirmed Thursday, Friday, Saturday: RCGP Annual Conference (poster presentation) Sunday (or Saturday night): Departure

which includes an abstract (250 word max.) for a poster you will
present at the conference. Poster title: “What recent innovation in
general practice/family medicine from your home country could be applied

Dear Colleagues,
WONCA Europe and the College of Family Physicians in
Poland are pleased to invite you to the 23rd WONCA Europe Conference
which will be held on 24 – 27 May 2018 in Krakow, Poland.
The theme of the Conference is “Family Medicine: Quality, Efficiency, Equity”.
Throughout Europe, General Practitioners and Family
Doctors practice everyday to provide to their patients high quality
primary medical care. They play a key role in the healthcare systems to
make efficient use of limited resources and to assure equal care to all
patients. Nowadays, as Europe faces new crises, preserving these the
universal values: Quality, Efficiency and Equity is a new challenge for
all family physicians and we want to discuss them during the conference
in Kraków. We invite researchers, educators, managers, but especially
practising doctors to contribute to this debate.
Krakow – charming, mediaeval city, and an old capital of
Poland welcomes you and offers its tradition, history, culture and
unforgettable atmosphere of a magic place, which attracts every year

Il Movimento Giotto è in netta crescita, sia numericamente che come
panorama culturale e relazioni (nazionali ed internazionali) coltivate.
Quando si inizia a crescere il difficile diventa mantenere il passo e
sapersi innovare.
Anche per questo motivo il Consiglio Direttivo ha deliberato il
21-02-2018 di stanziare per il 2018 un fondo di 210 euro dal conto
associativo da dedicare alla sponsorizzazione di colleghi impegnati in
attività inerenti la Medicina Generale ed il mondo WONCA.
Ci rendiamo perfettamente conto che si tratta di cifre relativamente
basse e che possono coprire solo parzialmente le spese sostenute, lo
scopo di tale finanziamento però non è quello di “premio” ma di
“incentivo” fornito a colleghi da parte dell’associazione. Crediamo che
investire in noi stessi sia un modo possibile per crescere ulteriormente
come movimento, e vogliamo investire in ambiti specifici che ci
caratterizzano ovvero la partecipazione alla vita scientifica e
professionale internazionale volta alla proliferazione della cultura
della medicina generale.
Borsa 1 – WONCA Europe Preconference, Cracovia 23-24 Maggio 2018
Come da tradizione, prima dell’annuale WONCA Europe, si terrà un
Preconference (attività pre congressuale) organizzata all’interno del

Generale internazionale (ad esempio EurOOHnet, European Forum of Primary
Care, eccetera)
